The research group led by Prof. Huan Jiao focuses on inorganic materials chemistry, particularly the design, synthesis, and optical characterization of rare-earth luminescent materials. The team conducts both fundamental and applied research on solid-state inorganic materials, rare-earth spectroscopy, and luminescent systems for lighting, display, and energy applications. Current efforts emphasize morphology control and green synthesis of inorganic powders, long-afterglow phosphors for solar energy storage, and optical conversion materials for high-efficiency solar cells. The group has established controllable synthesis strategies through phase-transition-mediated processes and developed novel energy-transfer-based luminescent systems and high-performance phosphors for white LEDs.
