The research team is mainly engaged in research in the fields of heavy oil processing, biomass conversion, and CO2 utilization.

The team consists of 2 professors, 1 associate professor, and over 20 doctoral and master’s students. In recent years, team members have undertaken a range of projects, including National Natural Science Foundation of China grants, Shaanxi Province’s “13115” Major Science and Technology Special Projects, Shaanxi Provincial Key Science and Technology Innovation Team programs, and numerous enterprise-commissioned projects. They have published more than 120 research papers in both international and domestic academic journals, authored two textbooks—Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering and Fundamentals of Chemical Engineering and Applied Chemistry Experiments, been granted over 60 Chinese invention patents, and successfully completed pilot testing or industrial demonstration of 3 technologies in collaboration with relevant enterprises.
